They joined ENSL.org when NS was alrdy dead ... i am confused and somewhat sceptic about the legitimacy of the hype!

I was way too young to have any affiliation with ensl at the time, but that doesn't stop someone from playing a game.

I didn't play the gather but i tried that client a while ago and iirc there were issues with the popup menu like the player view would move while you moved the cursor. with the linux patch at least at a certain point the fps dependent timings were a bit off from the previous version since there was some change in how the fps cap worked or how it was reported. not sure if that still is an issue though.

It'd be nice to have physics set to to 125fps values and run the game at a higher fps, but that'd probably be a lot of work and testing for a dead game.

im ready to play if anybody is down. also i would like to know why the people that are playing only enjoy 6v6.

I was told by one guy that it creates balance issues when there is more than that, but i fondly remember 32 player servers full, being a lot of fun.

i got my ns1 install from bryns, its still up with files... amazingly.

Anyway, anyone remember how to do custom crosshairs, transparent comm menus or get rid of the ambient sounds? (or make them less loud?)

Nvm I remembered that UWE forums still has like, a whole NS1 section right there. :D
