Nobody banned everybody (after 10mins: AS PER THE RULES). So I left (started a new gather, went on a pub while waiting for it to fill). End of fkin story. You can't force someone to play a beta/test if they don't want to.

Until I get an official apology I won't be coming back.

The rules do not state that you can leave after 10 minutes anywhere, you broke 3 other rules and yet you seem oblivious to that fact.

The rules have said 10 minutes for years, I don't think people have really been banned for showing up 15 or even 20 minutes late.
However, when everyone IS THERE, you should expect to wait for everyone to be ready to play.

According to the other replies the beta build wasn't even played, yet because you muted and left to play pub you didn't know that you're at fault here.

Expecting an apology after this thread? When I just pointed out to you how the only person in the wrong is you, you're taking those rules as if God is real and his 10 commandments were just chiselled in stone this very morning.
All those rules have some flexibility, the admins don/'t want to make the ENSL community any smaller than it already is, but to leave, not get a merc and join the next gather after leaving, there's no way you will climb onto the high ground in that argument.

It literally took us less than 5 minutes to figure out we couldn't play the Beta because the server wasn't set up correctly. We played on the "live" build without you just like a normal gather.

You just pz'd the fuck out and didn't even bother trying to talk it out with anyone.

This ban was put out as a temporary ban while we properly decide on how to deal with this, if we even have to deal with this. This ban was put out around 1 AM with only a couple of admins present and will be discussed and dealt with today. It even says so right here http://www.ensl.org/bans/620

Also @ ryssk the whole beta thing was rather spontaneous because golden just proposed it and people wanted it. I would have been fine if senpai hadnt played the gather because of beta, but in the end we played normal ns2 and he just never showed up.

Something like that should be scheduled.

I was in Aliens channel by myself and everyone had gone to marines channel. I was sat there for some time before I finally joined marines channel to see if people were going to join server or not. When I heard them discussing setting up the beta and how to do it I assumed everyone had decided to play beta, so I left the server. Because I AM A NICE PERSON. I Didn't want to be that one guy who said "No I don't want to play beta, you all have to play normal". So I started another gather and left so they could all play their beta. It sounded like they were trying to set it up. In which case, they didn't actually give a f*** whether I wanted to play beta or not. Because they were ALREADY IN THE PROCESS OF SETTING IT UP...
Also to be honest it's not like they actually missed me. Both channels had about 8 people in them when they did finally start their gather game(we had 4 specs from the previous gather). So they found their precious merc, and they're LYING if they say otherwise. -_-
Nobody bother to asked me if I was playing regular or not (when they finally did start playing), not a single poke, or a single message. Tbh they didn't really give a f*** whether I played beta or not, because as I already said^, they had already started trying to setup the files for the beta gather play.

Also as for the base rush thing, that's happened twice now. And both times it's definitely been from schu, cr4zy and even kmac i think mic spamming during a live gather game.

I've muted people who mic-spam/bm on teamspeak before. Twice I've done this, and funnily enough. The game was lost shortly after. Also openyafaceup was the commander (not captain) for the game he was being rude to me.

Even if he wasn't commander. It's 6v6, it's important to keep communication open with all players especially with so few players.

You may have thought it was funny, but it was annoying and they were being rude to me. BMing me because I can't kill the skulks because I couldn't even f***ing hear where they were about to ambush me from. LITERALLY every single time an alien (or more) was trying to kill me they would ALWAYS start talking and more often than not, it was to bm/be rude to me. At least 2-3 people bming/spamming voice. It's almost like they were doing it deliberately: Holding down C key until they saw red dots near me and just instantly BMing/mic spamming so I wouldn't hear the ambush coming and I would die... It's f***ing PATHETIC and it's TROLLING. And I absolutely REFUSE to put up with it and play with toxic people like that. That and as I've previously said: alot of this community doesn't like me and deliberately trolls me.

It may have been 7 mins but I was certain it was 10. Either way. It's still abuse from Simple (admin), abuse from Golden (dev) and abuse from the community (in this thread, on teamspeak (see my thread about openyafaceup: link above^. I've also received BM from schu/AD). Which is why I won't play with this community again until I receive an OFFICIAL and SINCERE apology (I also expect to be unbanned when I receive it). I will no longer be responding to this thread until I have received it.

You could've let it known that you didn't wanna partake in the beta gather. Instead you went AFK and never checked up on the status of the gather.

Regards to people checking map. Well, this is NS2. Any good player look at the map constantly.

If you can't hear skulks over the sound of TS. Then you should try configure your settings a bit better. And I would highly recommend a mute button that you can quickly reach. Sometimes you are trying to listen. And people saying something else. So muting them quickly to listen and unmute when you are done is a great being able to do.

How does this go from you complaining about a ban, to now complaining about mic spam? If you think people are spamming mic, mute them, turn them down, it's how everyone else does it. You're not incapable of doing these things yourself so putting the blame on others just makes you look foolish.
It's also a gather people use the mic, get over yourself.

I've never heard anyone complain about people checking the map in NS2, it's how you play the game, it gives you so much information and players in gather help each other out by telling other players where things are, yet you want to take that valuable teamwork and throw it in their faces as "pathetic trolling" please.
If you can't hear the game over teamspeak then fix your settings. Don't blame others. You also can't hear ambushes, because they're supposed to be unexpected and silent.

Banning a player for breaking the rules is not an abuse.
Golden is not a developer, he volunteers to help playtest. He has helped more people in this game and although he never wants to play with me, is one of the most upstanding members of this community.

If you want to play gathers, get used to people calling you bad, you will not be treated like a princess. Players that play gather play this game competitively, they know mistakes when they see them, they will point them out. This does not mean they are bming you, they're simply telling you what you did wrong.
I remember being last pick in gathers, being the one guy no one wanted on their team. If you don't listen to the players that are better than you, you won't get better. Yes it's annoying, I've certainly been annoyed sometimes when other players give me shit about fucking up, but if you can't handle it maybe competitive isn't for you.

Some of them probably are just giving you shit, because you react like you're always right, nothing you do is wrong, yet here in this thread you haven't accepted yet you were in the wrong. Infact you make it worse everytime you post, making it more obvious you just didn't give a fuck about that gather and got yourself banned.

for: Leaving the gather out of nowhere, not finding a merc when leaving(Yes there might be people present but it is YOUR responsibility to find a replacement).

Regarding the "Unplanned beta test"
This was discussed at length in teamspeak and everyone there agreed to it. You didn't say anything about it.
