Season 11 Group Phase

Thanks to all the Teams/Players/Referees/Casters/everyone that participated in the many great and enjoyable games.

The Div1 group phase week 1 match contained ns2_mesh for every team, and every team was expected to play it. The matchpage from CanMercForFinals vs seize & decyst, which has over 60 comments, never mention that the teams nor any of the players did not want to play Mesh, much less that they would refuse to play.

CanMercForFinals vs seize & decyst played on June 3rd, 2017 at 20 CEST, after the admins accommodated the teams’ request to extend the season for their match. During the match, at least 8 players kicked the referee from the server in order to play a map they were not supposed to play. This is considered to be disrespectful behaviour towards the official that is using his free time to serve the League. 

Upon further reflection by the admin team,  both teams will not be disqualified from the season. The players who initiated the voting process to remove the referee will not be allowed to play in the semi-final match. There will be no points awarded for the first Mineral map (which should have been Mesh), and 2 points awarded to CanMercForFinals given that they won both rounds on Veil.

1) ns2_tram (Alien Warehouse spawn, both rounds)

2) ns2_summit (Randomize First Round, NO Alien North. Then repeat same positions)

3) ns2_descent (Randomize between south and north spawn then repeat same positions)

4) All other maps (Randomize First Round. Then repeat same Alien/Marine positions)

Organization Structure Changes

Welcome our new admin, Ololoi.

Knox is going to be the Head Admin.

Knox will help structure the admin team, such that we can take into account the many perspectives for the administration of ENSL. We welcome your continued engagement and perspectives concerning the league and the community. In particular, we would like to increase transparency and are open for suggestions as to how that can be achieved. You are welcome to help with administration because the NSL is, as always, supported by the Community, for the Community.

Draft Tournament + (Custom Maps?)

We would like to hold a Draft Tournament on the 17th of June 2017 at 18 CEST.

This works like a Gather. You vote for Captains and they pick from a player pool to assemble teams of 6-8 players.

All matches will be played in 1 evening, best of 1-2 rounds (maybe more rounds/maps depending on how many players there will be).

Come to the TS3 Channel Draft Tournament on our ensl.org TS3 Server on the 17th of June at 18 CEST and get assambled into Teams and then play.
